How effective are our vaccines?

While the discussions about the effectiveness of vaccines, people generally use the term- efficacy rate. What is the efficacy rate? Every person has a different immune system that works differently to fight the virus. If the efficacy rate is 95%, then it means that the vaccine has lowered your chances (whatever they were before) of contracting the virus by 95%.

It should also be noted that there are no reported deaths of the persons who took any authorized vaccine doses. It means that the vaccinations are 100% effective in preventing deaths due to Covid-19.

Breakthrough cases

There are some cases where people get infected with coronavirus after taking their vaccination doses. These are called “breakthrough cases.” These cases are making people concerned about their safety even after the vaccinations. We need to understand that vaccines are not magic barriers. They invigorate the immunity system to fight the virus. In most cases, after taking doses, people who contracted Covid-19 didn’t develop any severe symptoms and didn’t even need to be hospitalized.

What are the symptoms of COVID after being vaccinated?

The symptoms of Covid are reported to be the same in people who have or haven’t taken the vaccinations. However, mild symptoms for a smaller time duration were reported by the people who were vaccinated. Some common symptoms of Covid-19 are

Headache
Sore throat
Loss of smell
Runny nose
An intriguing finding is that the people who are vaccinated develop an additional symptom- SNEEZING. So, if you are fully vaccinated and start sneezing without any reason, don’t worry but consult a doctor at home.
